Welcome to the Hare Memorial Library
The Library is housed in a stone building known as ‘Big School’. Dating from 1863, this is the oldest educational building in the country, still in use today. Award winning renovations have made the Library a modern and pleasant place for research and study.
Students are assisted by a team of qualified staff to obtain and process information. Information literacy programmes and intranet services encourage students to develop a high level of understanding and independence in their learning. The fiction collection is colourful and contemporary and the importance of reading for pleasure is actively promoted through reading programmes, promotions and author visits.
