The Christ’s College Boarding Programme keeps boarders busy in the weekends. With age-appropriate activities tailored to each year group’s needs, boarders are given a number of opportunities that may not be available to dayboys.
Some of the activities in 2008 include:
- Swimming with seals
- Indoor and rock climbing
- Surfing and windsurfing
- Golf
- Learning to dive
- Watching live Super Rugby
- Sea kayaking
- Jetboating
- Paintball
- Wildlife cruise
- Horse trek
- Iceskating
- Indoor archery
- Hydroslides
Many boys take advantage of the opportunities available and sign up to do these wide-ranging and varied (not to mention totally free) activities.
Alongside these, a large group of boys opt to study for their Diploma in Agriculture and/or Defensive Driving Course. We also have boys doing the Dayskipper Coastguard Education Boating Course, the Boatmaster Course, PADI learn to dive courses, and cooking classes with St.Margaret's College.
