Mr Chris Sellars provides boys with up-to-date information and advice on career options. While boys and parents can make an appointment to meet him in the Careers Office, he also works in and around the school in the following ways:
Working in the classroom with junior boys
Organising guest speakers from industry and educational institutions as part of the senior school’s General Studies programme
Providing regular, one-on-one interviews with boys seeking advice on future careers
Organising visits by boys to universities, polytechnics and career expos
Talking with boys and parents at the College Course Options Evening in August of each year

Term 1
The following events have taken place:
Canterbury University Liaison visit. Their team will return in Term 4 to finalise course planning.
Otago University Liaison visit. Katherine Campbell will return in Term 4. Hostel accommodation is applied for during Term 3.
Discovery Day at Canterbury and Lincoln Universities for Year 13.
University of Auckland liaison visit.

Week: Otago University Information Day. We are not taking a school group to Dunedin but parents and boys are welcome to make their own arrangements.

Week 2: Careers Expo - Year 12 will be attending University of Melbourne Liaison visit to Christ's College 1.15-2.00pm

Careers Expo - Year 13 will be able to attend University of Melbourne Information evening at a city location

Week 3: Work Choice Day for 30 Year 12 boys

Week 5: Study @ Vic Day - boys last year attended this day. Flights are quite cheap to Wellington on Thursday evening or Friday morning.
